RECTAS Job Vacancies Nigeria

The Regional Centre for Training in Aerospace Surveys (RECTAS) has announced Professonal and General Service job vacancies in Nigeria. JobsNigeriaPlus notes that RECTAS is an Inter-Governmental Organisation established in 1972 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) at Ile-Ife, Nigeria, in 1972 for capacity building in Geoinformatics and related fields.

It is no surprise therefore that applications have been invited from experienced, resourceful, trustworthy, result-oriented, computer literate and suitably qualified candidates. The announcement states that Professional Staff positions are for local and international applicants while the General Service and the Consultancy Service positions are local service positions. The salary for each position is as indicated; in addition, professional and general service staff are entitled to housing, transport, meat subsidy, leave, spouse and children allowances. Librarian II RP01 = ($8,701.00 - $13,804.00 per annum)
Candidates should be computer literate and should possess a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of second class lower from a recognised University, plus a Post Graduate Diploma in library Studies or extensive training and experience in the field.
The officer will be required to perform the following duties:
a. Working on the selection, evaluation, acquisition and organisation of books and other library materials; b. Indexing periodicals; c. Compiling bibliographic and reading list; d.To carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.

Assistant System Analyst/Lecturer RP01 =($8,701.00 - $13,804.00 per annum)
Candidates should posses any of the following qualifications and experience
1. A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of second class lower degree in Computer Science from a recognised university plus a minimum of one year experience.
ii. A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of second class lower degree in a numerate science plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer science and one year experience.
The Officer will be required to perform the following duties amongst others:
a. Information systems analysis and design; b. Maintenance of computer systems and hardware; c. Computer network administration; d. Support in teaching of basic computer courses; e. To carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.

Admin Officer II CRP01 ($5,379.3)
A Bachelor's  degree with a minimum of second class lower in any of the field of Management, Humanities or Hospitality, with a minimum of 1 years cognate management and administrative experience.
Successful officers shall be assigned to any or all of the following duties.
i. General administrative duties and services including recording of minutes; ii. Perform supervision duties in the management of student hostels Guess Houses; iii. To carry out such other duties as may be assigned.

Administrative Assistant CRG 05= ($3,724 per annum)

Candidates should posses a National Diploma or equivalent in Secretarial Duties, Public or Business Administration or related fields and at least one year working experience.
a. Perform administrative/secretarial and other general duties; b. Carryout other duties as may be assigned.

MODE OF APPLICATION

In addition to stating the names and addresses of the three (3) referees, applicants, should request their referees to forward confidential reports on them direct to the Executive Director. One of the referees must be applicant's boss at or last place of work.
