(1) BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVES AND MANAGERS

JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Executives and Managers will be responsible for driving business growth by championing new business opportunities, capital investment initiatives, operational improvements and strategic alliances. This role will involve the analysis of specific strategies, technologies and markets through the development of financial models, databases and risk assessment tools.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1st degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or other related field
For the Business Development Executive, minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience, with 3 of these at Senior Management Level and with responsibilities for administrative and leadership duties.
For the Business Development Manager, minimum of 10 years work experience, at least 3 of which must have been in a similar role in the Oil and Gas Sector or Management Consulting, Corporate Finance within a reputable and structured business environment
Demonstrated ability to develop financial models and other complex analysis and present results and easy to understand format.


(2) HEAD FINANCE

JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Finance is responsible for the delivery of Financial strategy in Oando Gas & Power. He/She will also ensure the integration of both operational and financial measures aimed at efficiency, growth and profitability of the business in the long-term. The incumbent will design, lead, monitor and review the execution of all capital funding, capital allocation and financing transactions in support of the OGP business. He/She will have charge of day-to-day finance and accounting transactions while ensuring that effective Treasury (Assests & Liabilities management) and liquidity positions are maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1st degree in Finance, Investment Management, Business Administrationl Economics or Accounting,
Professional Accrediting
Professional Accreditation (ACA).
MBA
10-15 years cognate work experience as a Financial Controller, Financial or Management Accountant, the last 5 of which must have been in a Senior Management role within a reputable and structured business environment,
Possession of track record in raising significant sums of capital for infrastructure-type investments will be a major requirement.


(3) QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring field compliance with construction and fabrication codes and standards on projects. The incumbent shall monitor, enforce and report compliance and/or noncompliance in aspects associated with construction, commissioning and handover of operations facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Metallurgical & Material, Electrical & Electronic)
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in Construction, Welding Practices or Non destructive testing

African Development Bank Group Young Professionals Program for 2012

The Young Professionals Program (YPP) at the African Development Bank Group is now open. The YPP is developed to attract highly qualified and motivated professionals from the banks' member countries, who are committed to African development, have demonstrated outstanding academic and professional achievement, as well as effective team work and leadership potential.

According to the bank's release, "the Bank aims to ensure continuity and excellence in both the management of its projects and the provision of policy advice to its regional member countries. Young Professionals have the opportunity to work across the continent and be at the forefront of exciting Bank initiatives that are helping to shape Africa’s future".

Interested?
The YPP targets motivated and talented young professionals (maximum age 32) who are committed to making a difference on the African continent and who will spend between two and three years of their professional career in the multicultural, and professionally growth environment at the African Development Bank.

The Bank seeks individuals skilled in the areas relevant to its operations, such as infrastructure, regional integration, private sector development, education, governance, health, social development, agriculture, climate change and environment, gender, and finance and risk management.

The bank provides the YPPs with undergo on-the-job training to equip them with the ability to grow successful and rewarding careers upon completion of the Program. However, the release cautions that completion of the Program is no guarantee of a position within the AfDB.

Eligibility

The following established eligibility requirements guide the recruitment of the Young Professionals, and the Bank allows no exception from these requirements for any candidate:

Citizen of a member country (regional or non-regional) of the Bank
A maximum of 32 years of age as at 31 December of the selection year
A minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Engineering, Social Sciences, International Development, Business Administration, Finance or any discipline that is relevant to the business of the Bank
Multi-disciplinary background and a minimum of three years relevant work experience
Outstanding academic credentials (Please attach a transcript from your Master’s degree(s))
Demonstrated commitment to development (field experience on the continent and/or in other developing countries is an added advantage)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English or French with a working knowledge of the other language (working knowledge of a third language that is relevant to the Bank’s operation in the African continent is an advantage)
