The University of Michigan looks to recruit experts on climate change effects in Africa for a general science and technology conference being convened at the University of Michigan May 5-9 2010.
Travel expenses and accommodation costs will be provided.
Expected is a PowerPoint-based lecture with clear graphics on the consequences of climate change on various sectors in Africa, including agriculture, water resources, disease vectors, etc. Forward modeling or extrapolation of current trends into the future will be much appreciated in such a talk.
Competent and interested individuals should make contact to assess their suitability for the task at hand.
The conference – the STEM-Africa Conference – will attract approximately 80 individuals from academia, government and NGOs from Africa, Europe and North America.
