ITF NECA Technical Skills Development Project

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA), in collaboration with Nigerian Breweries Plc, wish to admit qualified young Nigerians of sound character and learning potential to undertake an intensive 6 - 9months training programme on Technical Skills Development in the following areas:
  • Basic Mechanical Maintenance
  • Pump Operation, Alignment & Maintenance, Packaging Machine Operation
  • Basic Automation & Process Instrumentation
  • Process Technological Control
  • Hands on Training (Attachment)
OBJECTIVES
1. To train and equip youths with self or employable skills in the vocational areas above.
2. To promote a Public-Private Sector Model in Vocational/Technical Skills Training and contribute to capacity development.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess NABTEB/WAEC TECH. /C & G Certificate with passes in English Language, Mathematics and three other related subjects in the following trades: Mechanical & Engineering Craft, Electrical & Installation Maintenance, Welding & Fabrication, Instrumentation, Radio & TV Installation & Maintenance.

AGE.
Applicants should not be above 25 years as at time of application.

APTITUDE TEST/INTERVIEW.
Shortisted applicants will be throgh a selection exercise (Aptitude) test, oral interview and medical examination.) Candidates will arrange their own transportation, accommodation and feeding during the exercise.

THE PROGRAMME
Successful candidates will enjoy free tuition and lunch. It is a non-residential training at the Technical Learning Centre, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Ibadan. Trainees will be paid a monthly allowance to cover their cost of transportation and out of station pocket expenses for the duration of training. Trainees will be required to have hands-on training in any Nigerian Breweries location in Lagos, Aba, Kaduna, Ibadan and Enugu.
Although this Programme does not confer Nigerian Breweries employee status on the candidates, suucessful graduands from this scheme may be considered for employment based on available vacancies.
