The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Programme Support Unit has announced that it intends to recruit a Short term Evaluator in Nigeria. According to the release, the Evalutor is needed to extensively conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) achievements from the period of 2007 to 2011. The exercise will include elements of knowledge management as the consultant will be expected to document best practices, and lessons learnt during the period under review.

The CFLI is a funding mechanism within the context of the Canadian  development policy  framework through which small/modest scale projects are funded to undertake targeted initiatives that involve technical, economic, educational, cultural, and /or social development support and assistance to the local population.
