Community Mobilization Officer Job Nigeria

Jhpiego an affiliate of John Hopkins University seeks a Community Mobilization Officer (CMO) in Zamfara, Nigeria

Provide technical oversight and leadership for the development of communications plan and strategies for ZAIHAP project
Work and share strategies with the project's international partner (Save the children) to achieve the best possible project results for community activities for the project.
Provide technical support, leadership and monitoring to the project's local partners in the state.
Take a lead in the development, adapting, reviewing and the distribution of CM and BCC materials including training manuals and tools.
Lead the project's community activities collaboration efforts with the SMOH, SACA and other relevant community group in the state.
Documents detailed reports on all the community activities carry out by ZAIHAP and her partners in the project state.

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in public health, sciences and other related course.
Demonstrated track record of successful events, program coordination, project managment and ability to multi-task.
Experience with HIV/AIDS programs supported by bilateral agencies such as USAID and international agencies such as WHO and World Bank preferred, particulary those related to Voluntary Counseling and Testing, prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission, and care and treatment will be desirable.
Experience in working and coordinating activities of local NGO in Nigeria
At least three years of training experience in the community mobilization field.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluency in English and ability to speak Hausa language will be a key determined factor.
