NIAS Graduate Entry Level Jobs Nigeria

NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF ANIMAL SCIENCE VACANCIES

The Nigerian institute of Animal Science (NIAS), a Federal Government Agency under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture & Water Resourses has announced vacancies that include graduate and entry level jobs for suitable qualified candidates. Positions are listed below.

All applicants must be computer literate and must be vast in applications such as Microsoft applications such as Word,Excel,Powerpoint etc. A high level of proficiency in oral and written English is also compulsory. Registration with relevant professional/regulatory bodies is essential.

ASSISTANT REGISTRAR II. CONTISS 7
Aplicants must possess a minimum of B.Sc degree in Animal science with a minimum award of second class upper division. NYSC certificate or evidence of exemption is required. Computer literacy or certificate in computer application is compulsory. Successful candidate shall assist the principal Assistant Registrar in the day to day activities of the Registry.

ACCOUNTANT II:CONTISS 7
Applicants must possess a B.sc or HND. Degree in Accounting or related discipline from a recognised University with a minimum of 1 year post qualification/graduation experience or HND from recognised Polytechnic or a recognised Tertiary institution, with evidence or registration with any of the recognised Accounting professional bodies such as ANAN or ICAN. Preference will be given to applicants with evidence of having successfully completed PEII(ICAN) or PEA(ANAN). Applicants must possess NYSC discharge or Exemption certificate. Computer literacy is compulsory. The candidate will report to the principal Accountant and shall assist in the discharge of all accounting responsibilities.

INTERNAL AUDITOR II:CONTISS 7
Applicants must possess a B.Sc. Degree in Accounting from any recognised University or HND from a recognised Polytechnic or in a recognised Tertiary Institution, withn evidence of registration with any of the accounting professional bodies such as ANAN and ICAN. Preference will be given to applicants with evidence of having successfully completed PEII(ICAN) or PEA(ANAN. Applicants should possess NYSC discharge or Exemption certificate. Knowledge of computer application is required.
Successful candidate shall report to the Senior Internal Auditor, and assist the senior internal auditor in the discharge of all audit functions of the institute.

CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY II: CONTISS 7
Applicants must possess a B.Sc./HND in secretarial Adminstration or related qualifications in Humanities from any recognised institution. Applicants should possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate with evidence of computer literacy. Candidates must be proficient in Computer applications such as internet usage and Microsoft office packages, Excel, Power point etc. Applicants should possess NYSC discharge or Exemption certificate.
The successful candidate shall report to the Deputy Registrar. The duties shall include management of files and documents, drafting of memos and letters, taking minutes of meetings of council committees as well as other duties assigned by the Deputy Registrar.

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER II: CONTISS 7
Applicants must possess a degree in any of Agriculture Science, Social Sciences or Humanities and must demonstrate a high level of communication skills. Membership of professional institutes and proficiency in computer applications will be an advantage. Applicants must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. The candidate should report to and assist the Human Resource officer 1 for all duties.

STORES OFFICER: CONTISS 6
Applicants must possess HND in any Business studies with certificate in computer applications or intermediate certificate of the Nigeria Institute of Chartered Accountants or intermediate certificate of institute of Cost and Management Accountants. Previous expereience in the public sector and certificate in computer application will be an advantage for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will head the stores functions of the institute and therefore must be experienced in inventory management in line with public service extant rules and regulations. He shall report to the head of procurement department.

ASSISTANT STORES OFFICER: CONTISS 5
Applicants must possess WASC in 5 subjects plus eight GCE A/L in 2 subjects at one sitting or 3 subjects in two sittings, or OND Business Administration, or intermediate Certificate of the institute of Purchasing and Supplies. Certificate in Computer applications will be an advantage. He/She will assist and report to the stores officer in the daily execution of all stores functions.

STOREKEEPER: CONTISS 3
Applicants must possess WASC in 5 subjects plus a certificate in computer applications. The storekeeper will have responsibility for store functions as issuing and receiving materials and proper entries into requisite records.

ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE OFFICER: CONTISS 5
Application must possess a minimum of OND in any of Secretarial studies, Business administration, Personnel management, Public administration, Logistics and supplies of any other relevant OND from the social sciences or Humanities. Evidence of previous work experience preferably in the public sector will be an advantage. Evidence of computer literacy is compulsory.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the senior Executive Officer for duties in the Institute's administrative registry.
