True IT Entrepreneurship Learning Africa

7 November 2009 - The October 2009 IT Entrepreneur skills development program organized by Jidaw Systems Limited (Jidaw) was held on October 29, 2009. It was a truly exceptional experience for participants and organizer. The focus was on entrepreneurship opportunities in IT and how to build entrepreneurial skills that we all need.

What made it such a rich learning experience for participants and facilitator were the real world experiences of the facilitator/entrepreneur as well as the no holds barred manner in which thoughts were shared. It was agreed by all that “Ideas are important but the importance of resilience cannot be overemphasized”. The need to manage risks practically was stressed. “We are all born to take risks. It is the human condition. I must either be a spectator or take risks in order to make my tomorrow what I want it to be.”

Beyond the SITB program, participants are now part of the Network of Aspiring and Startup Information Technology Entrepreneurs of Africa (NASITEA), an initiative developed to inspire, educate and support IT entrepreneurs in Africa.

WE ALL NEED Entrepreneurial skills to manage people, build teams, create ideas and serve customers for Profit. WE ALL NEED Economic power.
