National expert in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Communication in agriculture (in total 31 person months) Work Opportunity
Duty Station will be the main project office in Abuja
Duties and responsibilities
• Build-up and technical support of an ICT-based innovation platform (center hub) and the value chain platforms
• Preparation of technical solutions for the operation of platforms such as Tools for the elaboration and preparation of relevant innovations to be implemented
• Technical maintenance of platforms (System Administration)
• Development of ICT-based tools for disseminating advisory content for value chain development in the fields of agricultural production, harvest, post-harvest management, processing, marketing, entrepreneurship, financial services, etc.
• Development of the technical basis for the creation of web-based training and education materials for public and private consulting and service facilities
Minimum Qualification and work experience
• Professional qualification in ICT, the development of electronic networks or equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years working experience in the development and construction of ICT-based multi-stakeholder platforms
• At least 3 years working experience in system administration of ICT-based platforms
• At least 3 years working experience in the development of ICT-based consulting tools in agriculture or for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)
• At least 2 years working experience in the development of web-based training materials
• Work experience in the private sector are welcome
• Mastery of spoken and written English
