Pan Ocean Disclaimer Fictitious Job Offers

Pan Ocean has issued a public disclaimer on fictitious offers of jobs in Pan Ocean in a bid to prcotect job seekers from job frauds and scams. The annoucement is as follows:

"It has come to the attention of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited ("Pan Ocean"), that an e-mail/internet hoax is being circulated, involving solicitation of candidates and payment for fictitious job opportunities at Pan Ocean.

The scam email messages are generated by individuals purporting to be the Head of Human Resources at Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited. We hereby confirm that such promises are not generated by Pan Ocean or in any was associated with the company. Pan Ocean never requires any candidate to contribute or pay any expenses or fees towards potential employment within the Company.

Consequently, Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited, accepts no liability and disclaims all responsibility with respect to any expenses, loss, and/or damage of any kind, which might hae occurred in connection with any e-job application and/or recruitment procedure or for the consequences of any actions taken on the basis of the information provided by the scam e-mails and website.

The general public is hereby advised that all legitimate job openings at Pan Ocean are listed on the careers section of its official Web site, www.panoceanoilnigeria.com, and any e-mail from the company always include our corporate domain name, as illustrated in the following example

Nigerian Communications Commission Disclaimer on Vacancy

To protect job seekers during their job search from fraudulent organizations and exploitative job scams,  the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a Public Notice as follows:

PUBLIC NOTICE

Disclaimer On Vacancy


"The attention of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been drawn to fake and fraudulent advertisements currently making the rounds on the Internet announcing vacancies at the Commission for various positions in its Engineering, Management and Marketing departments, instructing applicants to forward recent Curriculum Vitae (CV) with photocopies of credentials and names of three (3) Referees to ncc@ncc.gov.ng.

The advert is also requesting payment of a refundable recruitment processing fee of N85,000.00 to one Mrs. Vero Imine, bank account no. 01000520072302 UBA.

The Nigerian Communications Commission hereby states categorically that it did not authorize the publication of such vacancies by the faceless individuals or groups. The Commission therefore wishes to dissociate itself from any of such claim of vacancies, as no such vacancies exist in the commission.

The general public is hereby advised to ignore such advertisements and the fraudulent demand for processing fees, as the Commission being an agency of the Federal Government, will on no account request any form of payment for recruitment processes."


The announcement was signed by Dave Imoko, Director, Public Affairs at the Nigerian Communications Commission.
