Treasury Assistrant (2-year renewable contract )

IITA, International Agriculture Research Centre with Headquarters at Ibadan seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way, in order to improve the nutritional status and wellbeing of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the position of Treasury Assistant at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.

Position

TREASURY ASSISTANT (2-year renewable contract )

Duties
Successful candidate will:

•Assist to manage and reconcile 30 banks (cash and deposit accounts) in US, UK and Nigeria; Monitor regular cheque-payment to staff;
•Update and advise weekly exchange rates; Journalize all emergency cash transactions;
•Write cash book adjustments to book direct transactions to all bank accounts e.g. bank charges, interest charged, commission etc;
•Attend to queries from internal and external auditors and from Local and Overseas suppliers as they affect treasury functions
•Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Finance Manager.

Qualification and Experience:
BSc/HND Accounting or ICAN PE II plus minimum of two years working experience doing similar jobs.
Must be very good in the use of Oracle applications, have a sound analytical mind and must be willing to work for long hours.
